That’s because we’re a real family bakers still owned and run by the Warburton family. Five generations’ worth of expertise goes into making our products and allows us to continue a tradition of baking which began back in 1876.
Today, we have grown to be the largest bakery brand* in the UK. We produce over 2 million products every day at our 11 bakeries which we deliver fresh to 18,500 stores every morning from our 18 depots. We make a huge range of products, from bread and rolls to crumpets, teacakes, bagels and thins (yum!).
We may be the most chosen grocery brand in the UK** but that doesn’t allow us to rest on our laurels. We are pioneers of the industry and ambitious market innovators, always focused on quality and driven by our values which run through everything we do.
Our purpose is simply to delight families every day with a range of great quality products to suit all meal occasions, lifestyles and tastes.
Since our company was first established by Thomas and Ellen Warburton back in 1876, it has been passed down through five generations of family bakers, and proudly remains a private family-owned and run business.
The fifth generation of Warburtons – Jonathan, Ross and Brett – have actively managed the company since 1991.
